Prof. Jitendra B Shah is the Former Director of the L. D. Institute of Indology, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He has delivered lectures for almost 2 decades on Indian Philosophy and Religion with a special focus on Jainism at different Jain Centers across the USA. He has published more than 75 Research papers in Gujarati, Hindi and English in various National and International Magazines. Dr. Shah’s awards include “Excellent Gujarat” from Bihari Samaj, “Nagar-Ratna (Gem of the City) of Ahmedabad” from Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, “Jain Padmashree” in 2012 from Jinkanti Sagar Suri Trust in Mumbai, to name a few. He was successful in co-ordinating H. H. Dalai Lama’s meeting with Jain Acharyas to discuss Non-violence & Religion in 2010.
